The Florida Aquarium in Tampa Bay is offering cruises aboard a 72-foot, 130-passenger catamaran, officially named Bay Spirit II. The Aquarium has partnered with the Tampa Port Authority in order to bring this important project to life.

Many guests ask, "Where are the dolphins?" Instead of pointing out to the Bay, the Aquarium can take its guests out to the Bay to see these incredible animals. Tampa Bay is home to over 400 bottlenose dolphins. It is also one of the best places in Florida to view birds and an abundance of native fish. Swim with the Fishes at The Florida Aquarium in Tampa Bay is an in-water reef adventure that gives you the opportunity to encounter one of the Florida Keys most beautiful coral reef dive sites without being a certified SCUBA diver. You will wear a small SCUBA tank, regulator and flotation device that keeps you on the surface. Experience the thrill of SCUBA diving from the surface, while enjoying all of the sights below.

Swim with the Fishes provides a unique experience, especially for kids, which introduces the basic concepts of SCUBA and shows the beauty of Florida's aquatic environments through the exhibit.

The Coral Reefs Gallery simulates a 60 foot dive modeled after an actual dive site in the Dry Tortugas near Key West, Florida. In this 500,000 gallon tank, you will see a reef that is the base for a vibrant community of live animals that includes more than 2,000 animals, representing about 65 species, all native to Florida.

There will be 2 dive masters in the water with the group at all times. All dive team members are CPR, first aid and emergency oxygen trained.

Advanced reservations are required to participate in the Swim with the Fishes program, it is not available to book on the day.
